Carles Salesa joins FIREC, a working group specialising in the technical and regulatory field of waste and the circular economy

by MaresmeCircular in Consortium

The director of the Maresme Waste Consortium, Carles Salesa, has joined the FIREC knowledge exchange forum on waste and the circular economy as a collaborating member. This is a working group which will meet for two days every month, and is designed as a space for collaboration between the academic and professional world focused on the subject of waste management from a technical and regulatory perspective.

Through the exchange, reflection and creation of knowledge, FIREC seeks to deal with everything related to waste regulation. In this way, the group wants to position itself as an instrument for the improvement of knowledge in this very specialised field, with the aim of contributing to the best design and application of waste policy and law and the circular economy from public-private collaboration.

The format of this forum is virtual and the sessions are attended by different collaborating members from all over Spain from the world of university research and the public and private sector specialised in waste management.

This is an independent initiative promoted by the Global Public Law Research Group of the University of A Coruña, developed within the framework of its line of research “Circular economy, climate transition and demographic challenge”.
