by MaresmeCircular in Consortium

This week the Maresme Waste Centre has welcomed the visit of various members of GRHUSA, the entity in charge of the management of urban waste in the regions of Alto Gállego, Hoya de Huesca and Jacetania de Huesca, accompanied by a representative part of the City Council of Huesca. Specifically, the visitors were Manuel Gracia, from the Mayor’s Office, and José María Romance, first deputy mayor of Huesca City Council. On behalf of GRHUSA, the visitors were its manager, Teresa Viu, who was accompanied by the heads of GRHUSA’s Treatment and Collection and Street Cleaning departments, Mar Torres and Javier Hidalgo.

During the visit, the group was accompanied by José Miguel Latasa, national head of Waste Treatment Operations at Veolia, as well as other members of his team. In the words of Manuel Gracia, “our objective was to see in situ how waste is being processed at this facility, as well as to see first-hand how the Maresme Waste Consortium works”.
