{"id":9868,"date":"2023-12-21T12:07:02","date_gmt":"2023-12-21T10:07:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/maresmecircular.cat\/?p=9868"},"modified":"2023-12-21T12:07:17","modified_gmt":"2023-12-21T10:07:17","slug":"maresme-circular-promotes-the-reuse-of-food-with-a-cooking-workshop-in-teia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maresmecircular.cat\/en\/consortium\/maresme-circular-promotes-the-reuse-of-food-with-a-cooking-workshop-in-teia\/","title":{"rendered":"Maresme Circular promotes the reuse of food with a cooking workshop in Tei\u00e0"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong>On Saturday 16th December, the cook Montse Sah\u00fan will demonstrate several recipes to help us avoid food waste<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On <strong>Saturday 16th December<\/strong>, Maresme Circular, the brand of the <strong>Maresme Waste Consortium<\/strong>, will offer a cooking workshop to <strong>promote food reuse<\/strong> in <strong>Tei\u00e0<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The activity, <strong>free<\/strong> and open to everyone, will take place at the <strong>Pista esportiva of AE Tei\u00e0<\/strong> (Passeig de la Riera, 85) at <strong>11.30 am<\/strong>, as part of the <strong>Christmas Market<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Escudella, trinxat de Cerdanya and cream of carrot and pumpkin are some of the recipes that the cook <strong>Montse Sah\u00fan<\/strong> will show the attendees how to make, step by step. After each recipe, there will be a <strong>tasting<\/strong> <strong>of each of the dishes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In Catalonia, each person <strong>wastes 35kg of perfectly good food<\/strong> every year, of which <strong>58%<\/strong> is wasted in the home. <strong>Making<\/strong> <strong>recipes for reusing food<\/strong> is one of the many things we can do to avoid wastage. <strong>Planning meals<\/strong> and making a list of what we need, taking into account everything we already have at home before going shopping, <a href=\"https:\/\/maresmecircular.cat\/en\/consortium\/how-to-save-money-by-keeping-the-contents-of-your-fridge-in-order-and-avoid-food-waste\/\"><strong>arranging food in the fridge<\/strong><\/a> and larder, rotating those items that should be eaten first to the front of the fridge, or freezing food before it spoils, are other steps we can take to consume food responsibly.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Reducing waste by 26.4%<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This cookery workshop is part of a series of actions to reduce food waste that Maresme Circular and<strong> Rezero <\/strong>are carrying out during 2023 as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/maresmecircular.cat\/consorci-per-al-tractament-de-residus-solids-urbans-del-maresme\/pla-prevencio-residus-municipals-maresme\/\"><strong>Maresme Waste Prevention Plan<\/strong><\/a>.
