{"id":9397,"date":"2023-03-23T10:51:57","date_gmt":"2023-03-23T08:51:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/maresmecircular.cat\/?p=9397"},"modified":"2023-03-31T10:53:06","modified_gmt":"2023-03-31T08:53:06","slug":"maresme-circular-promotes-food-reuse-with-a-cooking-workshop-in-vilassar-de-mar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maresmecircular.cat\/en\/consortium\/maresme-circular-promotes-food-reuse-with-a-cooking-workshop-in-vilassar-de-mar\/","title":{"rendered":"Maresme Circular promotes food reuse with a cooking workshop in Vilassar de Mar"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong>On Saturday 25th March, as part of Health Week, the cook Montse Sah\u00fan will teach several recipes to avoid food waste<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As part of <strong>Vilassar de Mar&#8217;s Health Week<\/strong>, which is being held between Friday 24th and Friday 31st March, <strong>Maresme Circular<\/strong> will be offering a <strong>cookery workshop<\/strong> to promote <strong>food reuse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The activity, free and open to everyone, will take place at the <strong>Perez Sala School<\/strong> this <strong>Saturday 25th<\/strong> March from <strong>5pm<\/strong> to <strong>7pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Carn d&#8217;olla<\/em> gyozas, red bean burgers, a &#8216;healthy bowl&#8217; with leftover chicken and lentils, or garlic bread to make the most of the slices of bread with tomato from the previous day, are some of the recipes that the cook <strong>Montse Sah\u00fan<\/strong> will teach the participants how to make, step by step. After each recipe, there will be a tasting of each of the dishes.<\/p>\n<p>In Catalonia, each person wastes <strong>35kg<\/strong> of food in good condition per year. <strong>58%<\/strong> of this is wasted in the home. Making <strong>recipes for<\/strong> <strong>reusing food<\/strong> is one of the many things we can do to avoid waste. <strong>Planning meals<\/strong> and making a list of what we need, taking into account everything we already have at home before going shopping, <strong>arranging food<\/strong> in the larder and fridge, putting those that should be eaten first in front of everything else, or <strong>freezing food <\/strong>before it spoils, are other actions we can take to consume food responsibly.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Reducing waste by 26.4%<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This cooking workshop is the first of a series of actions to <strong>reduce food waste<\/strong> that Maresme Circular and Rezero will carry out during 2023 as part of the <strong>Maresme Waste Prevention Plan<\/strong>.
