This award values the work in the field of <strong>Social Responsibility<\/strong> developed by the different agents in the territory such as <strong>Maresme Circular<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Following the creation of the social responsibility awards, the Economic and Social Council of Matar\u00f3, <strong>M\u00c9S Matar\u00f3-Empresa-Sociedad<\/strong>, has acted as a catalyst in the presentation of a single city candidacy of the different initiatives, led by the <strong>City Council of Matar\u00f3, Maresme Circular, FAGEM, UGT, CCOO, PIMEC<\/strong>, and the <strong>Tecnocampus<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n<p>The document highlights good practices and actions in terms of Social Responsibility which have been promoted in the city in the last 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>Matar\u00f3 emphasizes the <strong>sustainability and efficiency<\/strong> of the city, and the candidacy is clearly committed to disseminating other business formulas that are democratic, inclusive and focused on the <strong>impact on the territory and society<\/strong>. Projects such as the <strong>Matar\u00f3-Maresme Circular Park<\/strong>, the creation of the <strong>chairs of Circular Economy and Social Economy<\/strong> and the organisation by the City Council of the <strong>Matar\u00f3 2030 Urban Agenda<\/strong> are tools to achieve a more inclusive, resilient, smart, healthy and sustainable city.<\/p>\n<p>The jury has also valued and recognized the work of trade unions in the defence of labour rights, the promotion of <strong>equality plans in companies<\/strong> or the different actions they carry out to achieve a better, more feminist and sustainable world.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Respon.cat<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Respon.cat awards are a recognition of the trajectory of the commitment to social responsibility and <strong>good business practices<\/strong>. Respon.cat is an association that brings together more than a hundred companies committed to the progress of their Corporate Social Responsibility and aims to make <strong>Catalonia a socially
