Students from the fourth year of ESO at the Mare de D\u00e9u de Lourdes school in Matar\u00f3 have won the second competition organised by the Maresme Centre for Waste Recovery. The winning entry is entitled \u2018Bottle Caps and Recycled Objects\u2019.<\/p>\n From a total of seven entries from schools that visit the Consortium plant in the Maresme, the jury has chosen this entry from the Matar\u00f3 school, thanks to its originality and the materials used,<\/p>\n The prize, 750 euros, was presented this morning by the president of the Consortium and Mayor of Matar\u00f3, David Bote, at a ceremony held on the premises of the school with the presence of the pupils, the Councillor for Work and Education at the Matar\u00f3 Town Hall, Miguel Angel Vadell, the manager of the Consortium Carles Salesa, and the Headmaster of the Mare de D\u00e9u de Lourdes school, Joan Tard\u00e0.<\/p>\n The aim of this competition is to increase awareness and promote good habits in the management and recovery of waste.<\/p>\n In his speech, David Bote congratulated the winners and explained to the children the importance of good recycling, prioritising that \u201cwe all have to pay attention to be able to reuse the maximum amount of waste that we throw away, because the planet\u2019s resources are becoming scarcer and we have to try not to use them up\u201d.<\/p>\n For this school year 2016-2017 the III competition is already underway, and entries can be delivered to the Consortium until the 30th June 2017.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Bottle Caps and Recycled Objects is the winning entry Students from the fourth year of ESO at the Mare de D\u00e9u de Lourdes school in Matar\u00f3 have won the second competition organised by the Maresme Centre for Waste Recovery.
