The overall balance for 2015 in municipal waste collection shows a slight increase in the generation of waste in this area, although the figure is still below the Catalan average.\u00a0<\/span>Matadepera is the county which separates its waste most, with a selective collection net figure of 77%.<\/span><\/p>\n
In 2015 in the counties in the Barcelona area, 2,245,042 tons of municipal waste was generated, which represents 1.04% more than the previous year.\u00a0The generation per capita is <\/span>1.22 kg per person per day, below the Catalan average which is 1.35 kg per person per day.<\/span><\/p>\n
