Taxation and economic incentives&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>The meeting point \u201cManagement of material resources, products and waste: Objectives 2030\u201d was held in Madrid last Thursday 22nd June, organised by the Foundation for the Circular Economy. Among the speakers was the director of the Maresme Consortium for Municipal Solid Waste Treatment, Carles Salesa, who participated in the round table \u201cGood practices. Innovation at municipal level. Taxation and economic incentives\u201d, together with Antoni Joan Borell, Mayor of the Miravet Town Hall; Manuel Civera, President of the Consortium for Valencia Interior and Mayor of Ll\u00edria Town Hall and Luis Enrique Mecati, Deputy Director of Environment in the Area of Sustainable Development of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).At the Foundation for the Circular Economy\u2019s Meeting Point, themes of great importance to the sector were discussed, such as: the current situation of the EU\u2019s circular economy package; the interactions between the EU\u2019s policies over chemical substances; products and waste; recycling and hazardous substances; waste to energy; and the fight against littering.The Foundation for the Circular Economy is a private Foundation, focused on the Iberian Peninsula, with a supranational projection. World renowned experts, public administrations, private entities and social agents collaborate with the Foundation. It works on themes related to the circular economy, sustainability, the use of resources, and the environment.
