Under the concept <strong>\u201cWhat if\u2026?\u201d<\/strong>, the clips show everyday scenes transformed by the impact of waste, creating a visual contrast that directly challenges the public. The final message is clear: <strong>\u201cThe best waste is the waste that isn\u2019t generated\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign was launched as part of the <strong>Metr\u00f2polis FP Lab<\/strong> programme, an initiative by the <strong>BCN Vocational Training Foundation<\/strong> that connects companies and organisations with vocational training students to address real-world challenges. On this occasion, Maresme Circular asked the students to create a public awareness campaign, and the project presented by <strong>Cl\u00e0udia Trull\u00e0s, Judit Vila and Nur Allertz<\/strong>, from the <strong>Advanced Course in Advertising Graphics at the CIC Cicles Formatius centre<\/strong>, won the challenge along with a paid grant to develop their proposal, which has resulted in this campaign.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VY_tbDGXF88?si=tqTiUG3ncKiWy4dH\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Professional support<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The clips were filmed by the production company <strong>Clack Audiovisual<\/strong>, which was awarded the Maresme Circular communications contract. The Clack team was responsible for the audiovisual production and mentoring of the project, supporting the three students throughout the creative and production process right up to the <strong>final implementation of the project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This collaboration has enabled the students to apply their knowledge, develop professional skills and <strong>establish direct contact with the world of work<\/strong>, while Maresme Circular has been able to incorporate the <strong>creativity and perspective of young talent<\/strong> into the project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTaking part in the Metr\u00f2polis FP Lab and developing the campaign thanks to the grant has been a <strong>very motivating experience<\/strong>,\u201d explains Cl\u00e0udia Trull\u00e0s, who highlights that the programme \u201chas allowed us to put what we learnt in the classroom into practice and better understand how a communications project actually works\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been a very enriching experience,\u201d adds <strong>Judit Vila<\/strong>: \u201cWe have had the opportunity to learn, under the guidance of industry professionals, how to develop a real project, from the initial idea through to its completion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mGEhEzEgCs4?si=PaC7hA3jWTPFJvsI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Three videos to rethink waste<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the Maresme region, each person generates over <strong>500 kg of waste per year<\/strong>, a figure that highlights the need to step up waste prevention and promote responsible consumption. In this vein, the video <strong>\u201cWhat if these were our next holidays?\u201d<\/strong>, which was already released during the Christmas campaign, focuses on the increase in waste generated during the festive season, appealing to the need to consume responsibly.<\/p>\n<p>The other two videos take as their starting point two of the region\u2019s great natural assets, <strong>the forest and the sea<\/strong>, to convey an even deeper message: if we continue to generate waste at the current rate, against a backdrop of the inexorable depletion of natural resources, we will end up replacing nature with rubbish. Thus, the clip <strong>\u201cWhat if this were our next outing?\u201d<\/strong> depicts a future in which forest areas have become a landscape dominated by waste; whilst the video <strong>\u201cWhat if this were our next fishing trip?\u201d<\/strong> projects the same idea onto the Mediterranean Sea: if we do not reduce waste generation, there will be no fishing or marine ecosystems, but rather nets and bins full of rubbish.<\/p>\n<p>Reducing waste at source is key to progressing towards European sustainability and climate neutrality targets, and this is only possible through public awareness.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CDSfo6YlODs?si=jUlHGQHe-KZMPqs7\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>A new challenge for the 8th edition of the Metr\u00f2polis FP Lab<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cBeing part of this initiative reinforces our <strong>commitment to innovation and the promotion of young talent<\/strong> to address the region\u2019s environmental challenges,\u201d emphasises the director of Maresme Circular, <strong>Jordi Pons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Maresme Circular is repeating the experience and is one of the organisations taking part in the <strong>8th edition of the Metr\u00f2polis FP Lab<\/strong>, this time with a threefold challenge: <strong>How can we get the people of Maresme to reduce food waste, sort organic waste correctly and make use of the compost produced from selectively collected organic waste?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Metr\u00f2polis FP Lab<\/strong> is supported by the <strong>Barcelona Metropolitan Area<\/strong> (AMB), <strong>Barcelona City Council<\/strong> and <strong>Barcelona Provincial Council<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Maresme Circular<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Maresme Circular<\/strong> is the umbrella brand encompassing all the services, projects and facilities linked to <strong>waste management<\/strong> and the <strong>circular economy<\/strong> of the <strong>Maresme Waste Consortium<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Through the <strong>Maresme Integral Centre for Waste Recovery<\/strong>, it manages around <strong>200,000 tonnes of residual waste per year<\/strong> from the Maresme and Vall\u00e8s Oriental regions, and promotes strategic projects such as the <strong>Matar\u00f3-Maresme Circular Park<\/strong>, focused on encouraging reuse and waste prevention with the aim of putting the circular economy into practice in the
